For the Love of Coffee

I'm addicted I tell ya!

I love coffee! I hate to admit this but my Maw Maw got me hooked on coffee at a very young age. She had one those old electric percolators and she would load it up every night with Folgers ground coffee. In the morning, she would plug it in and the smell of fresh brewed coffee would sneak its way into my room. I don't care what you say....the smell of coffee is the best thing in the world to wake up to.  She would allow me to have 1 small cup with a ton of sugar, I might add, in a pure white Fire King coffee cup. I loved those cups!

Fast forward 40 years and we now have Keurig instant coffee makers and every different coffee cup you can think of. I will be the first to admit that I LOVE MY KEURIG! It's a daily ritual for me. It's super dark in our bedroom and I usually get up before daylight and sometimes my husband doesn't know if I'm in bed next to him or not. He says that if he smells fresh brewed coffee, he knows I'm ok. Otherwise, he usually get up to check on me.

Having a designated coffee bar is a necessity for me. I need a place for my Keurig, my pods, canister full of raw sugar, spoons, cups, etc. It doesn't have to be extravagant but a coffee station should serve it's purpose; a one stop shop for making your daily cup(s) of Joe.

I've compiled some of my favorite coffee bars below. Some are made from old TV cabinets, old dresser or buffets, and some that were built specifically for the purpose.

If you know me, you know I LOVE COLOR! I love the unexpected. This blue buffet is right up my alley. Of course, I would have painted it Green!

The rich navy and gold mixed with rustic wood really works for this suburban farmhouse style coffee station. These Glass Canisters are so handy. I've had mine for years and I will never part with them. This one is more of a breakfast station which is really cool.

This old TV armoire turned coffee bar is just fabulous. They even hung a cute little pendant light and added some of that peel and stick tile to the back.

This one is super simple but does the trick. You have your Keurig, your pod caddy, your cups, sugar bowl, and just the right bit of decor.

I love carts! I have a BBQ cart, a craft cart, a bar cart, and this coffee cart is looking pretty good! And I have to say that giant wall calendar is pretty nifty too.

My son sells these fabulous signs in his store on Etsy. Each sign is made by hand so make sure to check him out and favorite his store. You can save on shipping by picking up at store.
